That’s right! None of these cops are wearing badges or name tags! I wonder why… seems like it’d be important to wear those, since it’s even illegal not to in other states…
Looks like someones in furr some purr-ouble!
High quality and highly decorated suits of plate. These would have cost a fortune to make and were as much of a work of art as they were armor.

This is a kids show.
My friend and I were talking about this line the other day, because not only is it really deep and something that a lot of people need to hear, but it says a lot about Marceline’s character.
When I watched the episode, it sounded to me like Marceline had thought about this a lot before. It seemed like this was something she often told herself, and looking at her relationships, I can see why.
First, it was confirmed that her and Princess Bubblegum dated (past tense). Now, something had to have caused their break up and left them on bad terms for a while. However, over the course of the show, you see their friendship repaired (and maybe their relationship as well). I think that one or both of the girls had to have done something that caused the break up, and since then Marceline has told herself that whatever she or bubblegum did does not make either of them a bad person. They broke up because they made a mistake. And that’s okay.
Next, at some point, Simon had to have left Marcy or caused her to leave him. Considering being left alone in a post apocalyptic world full of weird monsters when you’re just a little kid would be a pretty traumatic experience, it would make sense for her to have some bad feelings about Simon. However, it didn’t make him a bad person. It was a mistake.
Lastly, her dad is like, kind of evil. She can see the things he’s doing and see that a lot of those things are pretty bad, but that doesn’t mean she has to see him as a bad person. She’s allowed to disagree with his actions and still love him for the good person she sees inside.
tl;dr: realizing making mistakes doesn’t make you bad helped marcy have healthy relationships with pb, simon, and her dad, and i think some people oughta learn that for themselves
